Analysis: Freese didn't have much work to do since Australia failed to pose much of a threat in the final meters, aside from a few bright moments in the final 25 minutes. Freese has conceded just one goal in two starts and will look to keep it going in the group-stage finale against Turkiye on Thursday, June 25.

Analysis: Freese was given the nod in the net over Matt Turner on Friday and was not asked to do a whole lot. He would only face one shot on net, but unfortunately, that shot did find the back of the net. This is likely not how he wanted to start his tournament despite the win, especially as he gets used to the world stage. He will now have Australia next, a team he could have another relatively quiet game against.
