Sends eight crosses in win
Tillman recorded eight crosses (three accurate) and six corners in Friday's 2-0 victory versus Australia.
Analysis: Tillman continues to handle corner-kick duties for the USMNT and routinely sends crosses into the box, but he didn't do much the rest of the way. Still, the Leverkusen playmaker has done well enough to continue starting in midfield alongside Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie. Through two World Cup games, he has one assist, five shots, five chances created, nine crosses, seven corners, three tackles, three interceptions and two clearances.
Assist in World Cup debut
Tillman recorded one assist on three chances created to go along with five shots in Friday's match against Paraguay.
Analysis: Tillman would step into his World Cup debut with no hesitations, as the midfielder recorded an assist on Folarin Balogun's stoppage-time goal to end the first half. However, Tillman was better than just that, also adding five shots and two chances created, nearly netting a goal before bottling the shot. He seems to have earned himself a starting role moving forward in the tournament, although he will need some rest after a physical match.
